Airfoil featured in workspace article

Airfoil’s open workspaces are featured in a New York Times article today about office life. You can see our office space (and other company goings-on) on Flickr. And although I am composing this post at my desk, I do take the opportunity to fully use our wifi and move about the office when needed.

Detroit tech group breathes life back into local scene

Back in the dot-com era, Detroit technology groups (yes, Detroit) were everywhere. On any given evening, you could run into a group of any tech-related flavor with several publications, online and off, covering their every move.

The decline of those groups followed the stock market and the networking scene has been someone quiet ever since.

Automation Alley is hoping to change that with the launch of ConnecTech this week at the new MGM Grand Detroit – and don’t forget the prizes!

Below are the details. Let’s hope this group can give Detroit a needed shot in the arm.

Where: Ignite Night Club
MGM Grand Casino
1777 Third St.
Detroit, Mich. 48226

When: Wednesday, Dec. 12, 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m.
Valet parking available
Hors d’ouvres served

Registration:  http://launch.connectechdetroit.org
